Sea to Sky Community Services Society (SSCS) is a charitable organization, established in 1978. We help thousands of children, youth and adults build their skills, abilities, confidence, self-worth and mental health — creating communities where people can support themselves and one another.

At Sea to Sky Community Services Society (SSCSS), we live and work on the traditional and unceded territories of the Skwxwú7mesh Nation People and the Southern Stl’atl’imx Nations of Líl̓wat, Samahquam, Skatin, Xa’xtsa and N’Quatqua. We honour this land through ongoing reflection and action. This means continuously educating ourselves about the hard truths and present-day realities of Indigenous communities, the ongoing impacts of colonization, building meaningful relationships with local Nations, and embedding cultural safety, respect, and accountability into our daily practices.
We also recognize the systemic barriers, biases, and inequities that continue to limit fair treatment and access to services for many individuals and communities. At SSCSS, we are continually working towards the development of a society-wide equity, diversity, and inclusion strategy. This strategy is supported by dedicated resources and includes a comprehensive action plan to guide our work as both a service provider and an employer. We acknowledge that SSCSS is still on its journey. We are not free from prejudice or bias—but every day, we commit to doing the work needed to build a more equitable and inclusive organization.
Our annual CARF accreditation reflects our professionalism and community impact. CARF is an independent organization that sets international standards for health and social services and recognizes providers that deliver high‑quality, effective, and accountable programs.
We earn accreditation by meeting standards focused on client satisfaction, strong organizational practices, and measurable outcomes. The process includes an internal review and an on‑site survey by CARF-appointed experts. Accredited providers must also complete ongoing quality improvement plans.
We produce a performance report each year as part of this process. Our most recent survey took place in March 2022, resulting in a three‑year accreditation valid until March 31, 2025, with a highly positive review.
