What does it look like when a community grows together?
Over the past year at Sea to Sky Community Services, growth took many forms. It looked like:
36 new childcare spaces opening at Mén̓mens ta smánit,
Young people finding connection and support through Foundry and Youth Services,
Hundreds of people having a safe, affordable place to call home,
School lunches and summer snack packs reaching children in the Pemberton Valley,
Seniors staying connected and independent, and
People facing housing instability getting support before homelessness became a reality.
It also looked like what comes next.
Construction continued on Harrow Road in Pemberton, bringing 63 affordable homes and a new community services hub closer to opening, while Foundry Sea to Sky expanded Primary Care Services and prepared for a permanent home in Pemberton.
Across more than 42 programs and services, SSCS supported people at every age and stage of life throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor. This year, 3,673 children, youth and families accessed development and resource services, 395 people lived in stable, affordable housing, and 229 people received homelessness prevention assistance. Youth participation in recreational programming increased by 35%, while children, youth and families continued to make up a significant portion of the community we serve.
But numbers tell only part of the story.
Our 2025–26 Annual Report, Where Community Grows, is about the people behind those numbers: children building confidence, youth finding spaces where they feel heard and valued, families finding support, people finding stability, and staff, volunteers, donors and community partners working together to make it possible.
It’s a year of growth — and at the community we’re continuing to build together.
