New Foundry Site in Pemberton Announced.

Minister of Health Josie Osborne announced new Foundry sites, including Foundry Pemberton at Harrow Road.

Sea to Sky Community Services is excited to announce the opening of a new Foundry space in Pemberton, expanding access to mental health, substance use, and wellness supports for young people aged 12–24 and their families. Located in the new Harrow Road Community Hub (7000 Harrow Road) this space will bring essential services closer to home for youth in the Pemberton Valley and surrounding communities.

“We are thrilled to bring Foundry services to Pemberton,” says Jaye Russell, Executive Director of Sea to Sky Community Services. “This new space will make it easier for young people and their families to access mental health, substance use, and wellness supports close to home. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where youth feel heard, supported, and empowered.”

Foundry services include drop-in counselling, peer support, physical and sexual health care, access to groups and workshops, and support with education and employment. Services will be offered in-person and virtually, ensuring youth and caregivers have free, confidential, and low-barrier access to care that reflects local needs.

“Every day, I see how hard it can be for young people to reach out for support when they need it most, often unsure of where to start,” shares Ingrid Vander Wey, Foundry Sea to Sky Services Coordinator located in Pemberton. “By expanding into Pemberton, I am thrilled that youth will have a place to call their own and connect with different services under the same roof. This expansion will allow us to connect with youth who might otherwise go unseen, build trust sooner, and walk alongside them before challenges become crises. I can’t wait to be able to tell people that if they are unsure of what they need, to stop by and we will help them figure it out!”

The Pemberton Foundry space will be operated by Sea to Sky Community Services and connected to Foundry Sea to Sky, ensuring consistency in programs and services across the region.

“Foundry Sea to Sky has been a place where I felt supported during a time when accessing help felt overwhelming,” says Catie Filippelli, youth participant at Foundry Sea to Sky in Squamish. “Having youth-centered services in one welcoming space made it easier to reach out and stay connected.”

The Province of B.C. is investing $1.7 million in establishing new Foundry spaces, including Pemberton, and will provide annual funding for operations and service delivery.  Read more.
