Harrow Road Prepares to Open Its Doors

63 affordable homes are about to become home

After years of planning, partnership, and construction, an exciting milestone is just weeks away in Pemberton: Harrow Road Affordable Housing and Community Hub is preparing to open its doors.

Housing applications began earlier this year, and at the end of September, rolling move-ins will begin as people start making 63 new affordable rental homes their own.

The mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom rentals includes market-rate, rent-geared-to-income and deep-subsidy housing, helping create options for people with a range of incomes and housing needs.

But Harrow Road was designed to be more than housing.

Alongside the homes is approximately 10,000 square feet of integrated community space, bringing more than 30 essential programs and services together in one welcoming location at the northern end of the Sea to Sky Corridor.

SSCS staff will begin moving into the new program spaces in October, with programs and services beginning to operate from Harrow Road at the end of the month. The program space includes a permanent home for Foundry Sea to Sky — Pemberton, bringing integrated mental health, primary care, substance use and peer support for young people ages 12–24 closer to home.

Opening the doors at Harrow Road marks an important new chapter for Pemberton: a place where people can find housing, support and connection within their own community.

After years of imagining what Harrow Road could become, the community is about to bring it to life.
