A Year of Impact Across the Sea to Sky
In 2023/24, Sea to Sky Community Services supported 5,524 people through more than 42 programs and services across the Sea to Sky Corridor. From early childhood and family programs to youth services, housing, food security and seniors’ supports, our work reached people at every age and stage of life.
And that support often extended beyond a single program. 30% of the people we served accessed more than one SSCS program, reflecting the importance of wraparound services that respond to the many interconnected challenges individuals and families can face. Overall, SSCS programs reached more than 15% of the Sea to Sky Corridor’s population.
Throughout the year, 2,616 children received support developing language, physical, cognitive, social and emotional skills, while 564 children discovered a love of reading through the Imagination Library. Foundry Sea to Sky supported 251 youth, with 86% reporting a positive impact on their well-being and ability to cope.
Housing remained a critical part of our work. 232 affordable homes housed 434 people, while plans moved forward for 63 new affordable homes and a community hub at Harrow Road in Pemberton.
We also supported seniors to age in place, helped people facing urgent needs and worked alongside community partners to strengthen food security throughout the region.
